The only thing that keeps players like me hooked on Vindictus Online other than the unique AP system, are the awesome raids it has to offer. Other than farming mass AP once you reach the level cap, there are a lot of other things for you to farm. Vindictus has a couple end-game activities for players. With it's constant game updates, you will never run out of things to do. Are you ready for this Steparu.com Vindictus/Mabinogi Heroes in-depth look on raids special? Gogogo!
Introduction
I am assuming that you have read my other two reviews on Vindictus / Mabinogi Heroes. If you haven't then you will probably get a little confused on what I am about to go through with you in this in-depth review of the raid system. This preview is based on the current version of Mabinogi Heroes May 20, 2010 update. To prevent confusion I will often use Vindictus instead of Mabinogi Heroes. Anyway, if you are a daring one then keep on reading!
Party System
There are a total of eight raids currently available, nine if you include the fishing raid. The amount of parties members vary depending on which dungeon raid you are doing. Most of the raids in the current version, hold max party of six. While the more intense and crazy hard raids require a total of eight players in your party. Team work plays a big role in Vindictus Online, without the proper team setup or team work your party can be doomed from the start! However, not all raids require a party. If you are skilled enough, you can solo some of the raid with ease.
Game Modes and Difficulty
There are different game modes available in Vindictus. Most of the players that have very high AP prefer doing raids that are in Heroes mode. Heroes mode is the hardest difficulty setting for all the dungeons in-game. If your party isn't pro enough for Heroes mode then you move down a notch to Hard mode. If you are trying to get special kills or boss finishes then you would have to do your dungeon in Easy/Normal mode. In Easy/Normal mode, you can see the total hp the boss has. Easy/Normal mode is very good practice for players who are still getting used to raiding.
Red Tyrant Raid on Normal Mode
6-Person Raids (6 Total)
White Tyrant – This is the first you raid you will ever experience, don't be sad when your party wipes during your first run for White Tyrant. This white cola beast can eat your party alive in less than five minutes, especially when you just unlocked it. His attacks are pretty easy to read so if you want to learn how to solo it easy, you can start watching youtube videos of it online, it's pretty easy to solo in normal mode. However, fighting in Heroes Advanced mode is a whole different story.
Failed 2 Solo - Try Party! Advanced Heroes Hard Mode
Red Tyrant – You're probably tired of fighting the big bad whitey bear by now, but that's just too bad, because the next raid that will be available for you is another BEAR called Red Tyrant. It's Red Tyrant for a reason, because you beat him bloody to death last time. Now he is back and more serious than ever. This boss has a lot more attacks compared to the previous version. He also doesn't leave much room for open attacks like the White Tyrant did.
Red Tyrant Advanced Hard Mode
Giant Red Spider – Don't let it's looks fool you, this is probably one of the easiest raids available in game next to White Tyrant. With proper coordination you can own this boss in less than two minutes. The first key point to killing this big bad baddie is to keep it in stun lock. To do this you will have to lure it as close as you can to a corner of the map. After you corner it properly, you can spam spears or smashes on the boss so that it will get knocked down. The tricky part comes next, after you successfully knock it down, each member must then focus fire/slash on one of one of the legs non stop. If done correctly, the boss will keep getting knocked back over and over.
Giant Red Spider
Blood Lord – This is probably the second hardest raid boss you will ever fight next to the new Mammoth raid that was just recently added last week. Blood Lord is so brutal that he can kill players one or two hits due to his stun lock hits and combos. The key to surviving the Blood Lord raid is to never stand in one spot! Blood Lord will often teleport around the map and randomly sneaking attack on you, when you least expect it. There are two ways to burn down Blood Lord the easy way, and the hard way. The hard way will require each party member to carry spears, most of the Blood Lord runs like running the dungeon with spears because they can knock off the Mask for extra drops. Spears is nice choice if your party members have very good aim. Other than spears the fastest and easiest way to down the Blood Lord is to use flash bombs. Organize a flash bomb Blood Lord party and you're good to go! An organized FB party consist of 6 members each with flash bombs. The first person in the party list located on the upper left uses their flash bombs first, while the other party members rain down on Blood Lord. After the first person on the list uses up all three flash bombs, the second person will then use their three, then the third person and so on. An organized party can down this boss in less than ten minutes!

Blood Lord Raid by Nishino Part 02
Frenzy Howling Soul – Just like the other boss that looks like him, this boss is pretty easy, all you need is chains or hooks and you can keep him pinned down. His moves are a lot more flashy, and he is a lot faster compared to his original version. The only thing you have to watch out for, is his triple attack, once you get hit by the opener, it will be hard to get out of the rest of the attacks.
Howling Soul
Yeti Lord – Don't let it's big looks fool you, you can down this boss in less than three minutes using the same strategy as described above with Blood Lord. His attacks are very easy to read, in fact I beat this boss during my first run not even knowing what to do.
