Black Desert Online Preview

mainBlack Desert Online is an upcoming MMORPG currently in development by a new company called Pearl Abyss. The company is founded by the original producer of Continent of the Ninth, so you guys will be in for a treat when you see the trailer below. The latest trailer showcases Black Desert's very fluid action combat system, amazing scenery, unbelievable PhysX detail, very detailed bosses, and best of all large scale siege battles. Pearl Abyss and GameOn Japan signed a publishing contract agreement for this game already. It is still undecided whether or not this game will have it's first test in South Korea or Japan. I believe this publishing agreement was signed because GameOn is the same publisher of Continent of the Ninth for Japan. The Japanese version of C9 is also very popular so this would attract a lot of attention. Pearl Abyss is planning to start their service for this game around the last quarter of 2013.

    Combat for the archer looks like Dragon Nest xD;;. Also the Camera style as well...but I dunno. No in-depth video on the combat style. Still looking forward to this game and your reviews on it Steparu :D!

    Er, this game is shaping up to be nothing like Vindictus/C9. Vindictus is more or less a hub-based, action game. This has been pitched as a sandbox MMORPG. It's silly comparison.

    Hooo dayum. This game looks smexy. Sandbox mmorpg with large group mobs, no tab target, and ridiculous graphics? Have mmo designers finally learned from the past? Almost too good to be true!

    Did anyone see the video lag during the mass castle siege thing? I'm already dreading the implosion of my computer.
