With the upcoming NA version of Tera Online a lot of players are often asking me what is the best way to build their Slayer. Since I really suck at explaining things, I decided to take a screenshot of my current setup. The first thing you probably want to know is Slayers love Mystics. If you're planning to duo grind on Tera Online, then make sure your duo partner is a Mystic not a Priest. Why? You'll have to find out below! I hate to say it but I think I am starting to enjoy this class more than the my Lancer!
Crit or Die!
The Slayer excels both in PvP and PvE and with the latest changes made to the Slayer class a few months ago, this class has become one of the most powerful classes in Tera Online. The Slayer is often paired with the Mystic class because the Mystic has a buff that gives you double crit chance. Unlike most classes who can burst raw dps damage without criting, the slayer must hit a critical attack to do crazy burst damage. Partnered with a Mystic and the right crystals, you'll be Slaying anything in the game easily.
Mystic Setup to the Left - Priest Setup to the Right
I've posted the perfect crystal setup that you should have equipped when you are fighting against BAMs in Tera Online. The first crystal that you must always have equipped is the STR crystal, after using any skills or melee attacks you will have a chance to activate a STR buff on your character. The other crystals increases your critical damage against BAMs! If you're playing with a Mystic, you want to stick with your 1.7 more damage when the BAM is in angry mode. If the main healer in your party is a Priest or you're soloing, then you would want to swap the previous 1.7 crystal to the increase critical chance by 3% crystal. As for defense crystals, the only ones you need to have equipped is four reduce damage taken from BAMs shown below.
Now that you've got all the right crystals equipped, it's time to move on to the next step! Slayers are awesome at killing big monsters and they are more awesome when you have a Mystic around. Is there an echo in here? When you get high level enough, it will be much faster to grind on BAM's as to questing and such. Just make sure you upgrade your weapon and have the right stats on it. Which I will be showing to you in the next page of this guide.
The Slayer class is very fragile and will take a bit of time to get used too, I wouldn't advice playing this class unless you are mentally prepared to die a lot of times everytime you fail to evade a random BAM's big attacks.
