The latest patch in ArcheAge Online introduced a hidden pirate island, this is one of the new hometown for rogue players who are pirates, thieves, killers, criminals, and such. Rogue players you say? If you have been very naughty in ArcheAge and have been sent to official nation jail a lot of times, then this is the only safe haven town for you. Being a notorious player can have it's consequences like all of the max level guards across the world of ArcheAge will aggro you. Of course, that doesn't prevent players from sneaking around towns and still wrecking havoc, after all the level 50 guards can't chase you forever. I've got five new HD gameplay trailers below featuring the new pirate island and ship destruction mechanics below.
Wandering around the pirate island for the first time, I stumbled across a pub with a lot of jolly piratey npcs around. It won't be the same without a bar right? Hopefully there will be more hidden pirate islands in the future. If you're one daring adventurer, you can also build your house on this island. I would be weary of that idea though, this area might be the future hangout place for griefers and trolls. Out for more exploration I decided to climb up and see what's on top of tower, eventually I found myself an pirate NPC that aggro'ed me instantly. I decided to take him down for fun which took really long time.

Having a hard time completing my own pirate set with all the competitors around, I decided to come back and collect my remaining pieces later. You don't really need to be a real pirate to wear the spiffy looking pirate outfit shown above. Obtaining this outfit is pretty hectic at the moment, there are a lot of people trying to obtain a piece or their full set. If you're foreign ArcheAge player and interested in collecting your own pirate set, then you can get a piece of this outfit by breaking the barrel packages just right outside the ocean floor of the pirate island.
HE'S GOT BIG GUNS
Running in endless circles while exploring the pirate island, I've stumbled across a few players who wanted to play around with the pirate boss in the area. This boss is not to be taken lightly, he is surrounded by tons of cannons that can two to three shot me as a tank. As you can see, he can also destroy ships easily! Geez how do we take this crazy pirate guy down? Maybe we will have to come back next time with a huge zerg army, even then I bet there will be a lot of casualties.
