I've recently tried out Eyasofts latest MMORPG Legend of Edda. If you have never heard of Eyasoft or Legend of Edda, then you're probably not into cute looking games much. Although Legend of Edda doesn't much have cuteness overload as much as Luna Online had when it first came out. There are a lot of other strong points that Legend of Edda has to offer. First of all the game is very much more super chibified than Luna Online. LoE also has a lot of cute looking hairstyles and a good amount of character hair, color, eye, customization.
Legend of Edda Gameplay
Sadly, this beta preview doesn't have any character creation videos like I always do in my beta preview releases. Before you create your character, you are given a choice of which faction you would like to join. These factions play a big role later because the game has a lot of fun RvR action. Legend of Edda's gameplay can be played in two ways, you can either point and click at your targets. Then there is the WASD and the Arrow Key features while pressing the tab key to select your mobs and such. Nothing really unique about the gameplay controls. The only good thing I like about the controls, is being able to jump. Jumping is always awesome right? It probably has no use ingame other than spamming spacebar while running to the next map. Whatever, jumping is really cool.
Legend of Edda RvR
Legend of Edda is mostly known more for it's large huge scale RvR battles. If you have played Warhammer Online. Then you should be familiar with the RvR system. RvR matches are scheduled during specific hours of the day for example. Sometimes there would be a lvl 1-10 cap RvR battle that starts at 2pm and then maybe another lvl cap 1-40 that starts an hour later. These battles can get pretty hectic and crazy, heck I would know from experience. Since I joined a lvl 1-30 battle as a lvl 8 newbie. Being a melee two hand swordy, I got creamed before I can even touch one guy! But that doesn't stop me from trying to KS other players for experience points. LoE has gone through a lot of CBT phases already, so it might be nearing Open Beta. Anyway, look forward to my full review of Legend of Edda once Open Beta hits the market.
