Hanbit Soft and T3 Entertainment's latest title War Cry packs a lot of surprises for a TPS game. It was original introduced back in G★2008 followed by a couple Closed Beta tests. Being reintroduced in G★2009 the game has gone through a lot of improvements like user friendly system and balance changes. War Cry Online is the type of game for FPS and TPS fans that love killing other players in many different ways. The games background story and theme revolves around a fantasy medieval time with a mixture of different time era of science fiction.

One of the unique features that War Cry Online has to offer, is the wide variety of weapons that each character can use. Unlike your average TPS Online games in War Cry Online you can use magic, swords, dual axes, dual daggers, magic, and different kinds of guns depending on which character you pick. The controls are pretty much the same as your average FPS/TPS game WASD to move around and the number keys 1-4 to change weapons and etc. The trailer below is a 6 minutes long explaining more about the controls and spells. Although it's in Korean, I am pretty sure you will be able to understand what she is talking about by looking at the pictures and on screen help. The game also has a leveling up system the more players you kill during a match, the more skill points you will earn to invest into different skills during that session.
War Cry Online Game System Explanation
There are two sides of each game which are Horde and Empire. Each faction has their own mirror hero on the other side. For example the Empire Alchemist has similar skills, weapons, and spells just like the Horde's Shaman. Each side has around four playable heroes. There was a total of twelve before, but due to balance changes the hero count has been reduced. This is fine for me, since I am more concerned about balance than the amount of heroes that can be added in the near future. Expect the Korean Open Beta for War Cry Online to start early next year in 2010. As for international game localization the game is also planned for release in Europe and Japan.

... I was able to test Warcry some months ago in a little CBT. I had a lot of Fun. Perfect for teamplay because of the different classes. A game for players which like Team Fortress2 or Battelfield heroes. I liked the setting very much and the graphics were beautiful. |
